Vocal and instrumental students from Culver-Stockton College will be featured in a Student Showcase at 2:00 p.m. on March 25 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S Main St. This will be the first of three Casual Classics concerts in partnership with the college’s Division of Fine, Applied, and Literary Arts. The March 25 performance will feature students in the Department of Music and include solos, duets, a quartet and an ensemble piece with the Culver-Stockton Chamber Choir.
The Casual Classics series is a partnership with the Hannibal Arts Council, Hannibal Concert Association, Culver-Stockton College Division of Fine, Applied, and Literary Arts, Area Culver-Stockton Trustees and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
Students featured in the Student Showcase are Roger Taylor – Piano; Baylee Inman – Piano; Derek Froman – Piano; Nicole Smart – Trombone; Lance Logan – Trombone; Christopher Stock – Trombone; Alec Boren – Trombone; William Jackson – Baritone; and Hali Liles – Mezzo-Soprano. The Culver-Stockton Chamber Choir is under the director of Prof. Scott Allison.
Additional concerts in the series will be held on April 15 (Culver-Stockton College Faculty Showcase) and on April 22 (Dr. Dylan Marney – Piano). All the performances in the series will be held at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 South Main Street in Downtown Hannibal. There is no admission for the performance. No advance ticket purchase or reservations are required.
