Jacob Bross was selected as the recipient of the 2020 Hannibal Arts Council Past Presidents’ Scholarship. Jacob, son of Mark and Lisa Bross, has a strong background in music, including his participation in concert band, jazz band, marching band, All-State Jazz Band, All-State Orchestra, district and state solo and ensemble contests and a long list of other involvement in school and community organizations, including musicals with Culver-Stockton College and Bluff City Theater, performances on the Mark Twain Riverboat and with groups such as the Quincy Youth Orchestra and Quincy Community Band.
Bross will pursue a Major in Music Education at the University of Memphis in the Fall.
The Hannibal Arts Council is proud to support the efforts of young people in Hannibal through our programs and services, including this scholarship. The HAC Past Presidents’ Scholarship is given annually to a Hannibal High School student active in arts-related studies with educational and career goals in any of the following areas: visual, theatrical, vocal, instrumental, dance and literature.
