The Hannibal Arts Council recently received a $3000 charitable contribution from the George H. Riedel Private Foundation. The foundation funds will be used for Youth Programming through the HAC Children’s Program Committee which include Wild & Wacky Art Adventure (children’s art festival), First Friday Art Adventures (monthly workshops for kids), Young Masters partnership exhibit with Hannibal public and parochial schools and youth/family art programs in partnership with Marion County Services for the Developmentally Disabled and Missouri’s 10th Judicial Circuit Court.
The George H. Riedel Private Foundation was established in the year 2000. The purpose of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the city of Hannibal, Missouri. HAC has received funds from the Foundation since 2001 for a variety of children’s programs, general programming and community partnerships.
