For over 30 years, the Sentimental Journey Dance Band has been delighting audiences across the Midwest. The group’s roots go back to founder Russ Dieterich, who formed his first dance band at just 14 years old. After a career in medicine and service in the Air Force—where the earliest version of the band took shape—Dieterich continued to grow the ensemble into the powerhouse it is today, now featuring many talented St. Louis–area musicians and music educators.
Come to dance. Come to listen. Come to relive the golden age of big band music. The event is sponsored by the Hannibal Arts Council, Missouri Arts Council and local partners.
