Step inside the cold and warm up with some hot jazz at the Hannibal Arts Council on Sunday, December 15. The performance will feature smooth jazz and some holiday favorites with a jazz twist by Hannibal pianist Bill Morrison and guest musicians, including Morrison’s son Marty Morrison on drums, Bennet Wood on saxophone, Tom Byrne on guitar and Jim Batson on bass.
Due to limited space, advance ticket purchase is required. Tickets are $20 per person. If the concert is not sold out, tickets will be sold at the door for $30. To purchase tickets in advance, go online to https://hannibalartscouncil.eventbrite.com, call the Hannibal Arts Council at 573-221-6545 or stop by 105 S. Main St. (Noon-5pm Mon-Fri).
All proceeds from Holiday Jazz will benefit the Riverside Cemetery Association. The Hannibal Arts Council benefits from the gracious loan of a Kawai grand piano once owned by Jason Dugger (1972-2009), who is interred at Riverside Cemetery. This is our way of giving back.
The December 15 concert will be held at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 South Main Street in Downtown Hannibal, which will be transformed into a jazz club atmosphere. The performance will feature smooth jazz and some holiday favorites with a jazz twist. You don’t want to miss this holiday tradition!
The performance is being sponsored by Dr. Michael and Sherry Bukstein, Robert M. Clayton II, Drs. Lent Johnson and Sandra Ahlum, Ann Nagy, Dr. David and Debbie Nichols and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
