Weather can be unpredictable, but the fun doesn’t have to be! Based on the forecast, we’re moving the Wild & Wacky Art Adventure: FREE Art Festival for Kids 3-10 event to the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center to ensure everyone has a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience. We’d much rather make the change now than risk weather disrupting a great day.

Get ready for a morning of creativity, imagination and outdoor-inspired fun. This year’s theme is Outdoor Adventure.
Presented by the Hannibal Arts Council in partnership with local businesses, organizations and volunteers, the event is made possible through the generous support of Signature Sponsor U.S. Bank, Visionary Sponsor McDonald’s: Gilstrap Restaurants and other community sponsors, allowing every activity to be offered free of charge.
This year’s Outdoor Adventure theme comes to life through imaginative art projects including Paper Chain Snake, Insect Prints, Pinecone Critters, Painted Rocks, Nature Wall Hangings and Folded Paper Frogs. Returning favorites such as Box Town, Masterpiece T-Shirts and the always-popular Drum Circle promise even more opportunities for hands-on fun.
Families can also enjoy special activities with the Hannibal Free Public Library, Marion County Health Department, Mississippi Hills Master Naturalists, and begin the morning with Community Yoga led by Twisted Juniper at 9:00 a.m.
For 26 years, the Hannibal Arts Council has created Wild & Wacky Art Adventure to encourage families to unplug, spend quality time together, and discover the joy of making art. More than 300 children participate each year, making it one of the community’s most anticipated family events.
