The upcoming exhibits at the Hannibal Arts Council showcase a dynamic range of media, offering something for every art enthusiast. These exciting exhibitions will be on display from July 18 through August 23 at the Hannibal Arts Council, located at 105 S Main St in downtown Hannibal.
The exhibits will open with a Friday Night Preview from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with an Artist Talk at 6:00 p.m. There will be light refreshments and music featuring EWI (electronic wind instrument) musician Helene Lowney. The exhibits will remain open to the public until August 15 and are sponsored by the Hannibal Art Club, USBank and the Missouri Arts Council.
The slate of featured artists includes a variety of talented, first-time invitational artists including painter Sarah Bartlett of Hannibal, metal sculptor Mason Barnett/Mammoth Metals of Marceline, painter Kachina Hudson of New London and watercolor/colored pencil artist, Peyton Wiseman of Payson IL. Local artists have submitted works for the “Papa’s Got a Brand-New Bag” open show that challenges artists to try something new. The Photography Channel will showcase digital images that reflect the theme, “What’s Old Is New.” The Featured Photographer is Brigitte Faddoul of Habibi Photography.
HAC gallery hours through August 15th are Noon-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Saturdays (during exhibits only).
